Neil Owen

Group Managing Director

Neil started his recruitment career in 1998, focussed predominantly on the Financial Services industry for Robert Half International. His 20-year career there saw him take on several senior roles including Managing Director for London, Global Practice Director for Financial Services, and UK Director for Technology.

In 2018 Neil moved to a start-up business where he successfully launched and grew their London offering across Financial Services, Technology, and Human Resources.

Neil joined the Danos Group in July 2022 as our new Group Managing Director.  He is responsible for delivering our strategic growth objectives, while working with our global teams to continue to offer our industry leading recruitment solutions to the markets we serve.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff.

Annie Katich

Global Head of Operations

Annie joined Danos Group in 2023 as Global Head of Operations. Annie works with the senior management team to streamline and improve processes and systems across the business.

She has a breadth of operations experience within the recruitment sector, having worked in both high volume contingent recruitment and executive search companies.

Annie holds a Bachelor’s in International Relations from the American University of Rome and a Master’s from London School of Economics.

Grant Potter joined Danos Associates’ EMEA operation in January 2012. He spent two years working on both the contingent and retained search teams, across all areas of financial services compliance, before relocating to New York in January 2014 to help set up Danos Associates US, Inc. He became Partner in July 2018.

He has developed an extensive network within the US compliance market and has worked on compliance assignments across investment banking, commercial and consumer banking, asset management, private equity, wealth management, and the hedge fund space.

Grant was previously with an executive search firm in London where he set up and ran the Legal and Compliance desk. Prior to this he worked as a paralegal at a Solicitors in Birmingham and as an academic lawyer before joining the recruitment industry.

He holds an LL.M from University College London and an LL.B from Birmingham City University.

Jared joined Danos Associates in June 2020. He has strong connections within the US Compliance market at all levels of experience. He has worked on contingent and retained compliance assignments within Asset Management, FinTech, Commercial and Consumer Banking, Investment Banking, Private Equity, and Hedge Funds. In addition to his market expertise, Jared prides himself on building long-lasting, effective relationships with clients and candidates.

Originally from Massachusetts, Jared moved to New York City in 2011. He began his career in recruitment in 2016 where his focus was working with clients and candidates within the US Compliance market. Prior to this he worked in the theatrical management industry, representing clients in theatre, film, and television.

Jared holds a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts Management from the University of Hartford, he is a certified yoga instructor, and is currently renovating a 1790’s New England farmhouse in Western, MA.

Lucky Nguyen

Lucky Nguyen

Associate Director, US Compliance

Lucky joined the Danos Group  in 2023. He has nine years of Financial Services recruitment experience specializing in Legal and Compliance placements. Lucky has an extensive network across the United States working in various sectors including Banking, Asset Management, Alternative Investments, Financial Technology, Start-ups, and Insurance firms.

Prior to joining the Danos Group, Lucky spent eight  years with Robert Walters developing their Financial Services practice which included Compliance, Legal, Risk Management & Quantitative Analytics, Finance, Accounting and Tax. He also spent a year with Sea Ltd (NYSE: SE), a Global Internet Company, scaling their Legal and Investment teams across the United States, Central & South America, and Europe.

Lucky graduated from Baruch College with a BBA and MS in Accounting. He had initially started his career in Tax at Goldman Sachs, and Audit at Ernst & Young and PwC.

Prior to her recruitment career, Elizabeth worked in Equity Derivatives at Swiss Bank Corporation in London before returning to Australia to join Deutsche Bank.  Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Business degree from QUT (Queensland University of Technology – Australia).

Elizabeth prides herself on her C-suite partnerships; she has worked with senior leaders enabling them to move from executive careers to operating as senior independent consultants. Valerie Phillips

Valerie joined Danos Associates US, Inc. in January 2022 to lead and grow the Legal practice in the Americas.  She brings to bear 20+ years of legal experience, the last seven devoted to recruiting partners, counsel, associates, and in-house counsel across a range of practice areas, with an emphasis on the US market.

Her focus at Danos Associates is on developing in-house and private practice permanent Legal offerings across the U.S.  Her skills and experience complement the well-established Danos Group’s permanent and interim Legal recruitment teams.

Valerie received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Cornell International Law Journal, and was awarded dual A.B. degrees in English and American Literature (with honors) and Women’s Studies from Brown University.

A fourth generation New Yorker, Valerie currently lives in Scarsdale with her family.  She is an active community volunteer who has served as a past Board member and a current member of the Board of Advisors for the Junior League of Central Westchester as well as a member of the Scarsdale non-partisan School Board Nominating Committee.
