Danos Group invests in coaches. We also create opportunities for young people. Since 2022, Doverhouse Lions Community Football Club has been one of our charity partners. Our support focuses on building a lasting legacy for the club and its local community. That’s why we back football coach development as part of this partnership.
Who Are Doverhouse Lions?
Doverhouse Lions is a volunteer-driven football club based at Roehampton Playing Fields in Southwest London. The club serves over 300 children and young adults from one of the most deprived areas in the UK. For over 15 years, the club has used sport to support young people. It runs youth, adult, girls’ and disability football teams. As a result, players can develop both as athletes and as individuals.
Kieran Russell Completes His UEFA C Diploma
We are delighted to congratulate Doverhouse Lions coach Kieran Russell. He has successfully completed his UEFA C Diploma.
Danos Group funded this qualification through the club’s CPD coaching programme. Kieran was the first of 30 participants to complete the course. That’s a huge achievement for him and for the club.
Where the Sponsorship Came From
So where did the sponsorship come from? Our Danos Group team raised it through the Blenheim Triathlon in 2023. This shows the effort our people put into supporting this partnership.

More Than Funding: Hands-On Involvement
Our support for Doverhouse Lions goes beyond funding. We also get involved directly. Our team has attended Cup Final games and Club Presentation Day. We have visited training sessions to connect with players and volunteer coaches. In 2022, we also submitted three FA Grassroots Award nominations for the club. That same year, staff from across Danos Group came together at Roehampton Playing Fields. We held a Global Staff Volunteering Day and cleared wasteland to help create a peace garden for the club and its community.
What’s Next for Kieran
Kieran is already looking ahead. His next goal is the UEFA B Diploma and the next stage of his coaching journey.
